In memoriam

One of the sadder parts of having animals is that they are not as long-lived as we humans.

Dealing with the passing of a dearly loved pet is one price we pay for welcoming these family members into our lives and our homes.
At the hospital our staff must face this mortality more often than we would like. It never gets any easier for us, and we know it is so much more difficult for the family members left behind. We introduced this memorial page because we thought it might be nice to have somewhere where we can remember some of the special pets who have passed through the hospital and, sadly, gone ahead to that final great adventure.

It’s not a sad place; just somewhere to spend a little quiet time to perhaps reflect on the great gift all of our pets bring us simply by coming into our lives. Even if you never knew the furry friends who are remembered here, we hope that you might take the time to say hello and to maybe keep them company for a little while.

If you would like your own departed pet to be included here, please let us know.

“If there is a heaven, it’s certain our animals are to be there. Their lives become so interwoven with our own, it would take more than an archangel to detangle them.”
— Pam Brown
