Second chance for ‘Skippy’

This little Joey was a recent visitor to the hospital, after his Mum was found dead in the paddock and a concerned resident brought the distressed youngster to the hospital. Dr. Bek gave him a good feed, a thorough vet check and shipped him off to a wildlife carer. With a little TLC the lucky little guy will soon be back in the bush, with a second chance at life.

He’s just one of many injured or distressed wild animals that find their way to the hospital. In all these cases the animal, whether an abandoned pet or injured wildlife, is given whatever treatment is necessary to give them their best chance at survival. All Dr. Bek’s work of this nature is carried out pro bono.
