Ultrasound

At Alpine Animal Doctors we use modern, highly efficient full doppler colour ultrasound devices and have both fixed and mobile ultrasound available. Ultrasound is useful in far more conditions than its familiar role in pregnancy. Used together with digital radiology, baseline blood tests and urine analyses from our Pathology Lab, ultrasound provides an invaluable, safe, non-invasive diagnostic aid that is now a regular component of the thorough workups we provide for all of our patients.

Endoscopy

Endoscopy allows us to look inside your pet’s body without the need for invasive surgery. The device we use — an endoscope — has either a rigid or flexible tube, a light to illuminate the area we are examining, a lens and an eyepiece. Additional instruments such as grasping forceps, snares and biopsy forceps can be fitted. We can also fit tiny video cameras that allow us to watch our journey through the innards of your pet on a monitor.

Our services include fertility testing and health checks throughout the pregnancy. Quarantine and Export (AQIS)

If you plan to take your pet out of Australia you must comply with Australia’s Export Control Act 1982. All live animals leaving Australia will need a veterinary inspection and only an AQIS accredited veterinarian can provide the necessary certification. Dr. Bek is fully certified by AQIS (Australian Quarantine & Inspection Service) and Alpine Animal Doctors are familiar with both export and import requirements and can assist you through the whole process.

Holistic Acupuncture
