Dealing with Daisy

Whether you are a hobby farmer who raises a few calves or keeps a house cow, or a commercial beef or dairy farmer with a large herd, in this section you’ll find a range of articles covering the health, management and welfare of beef and dairy cattle.

We have not attempted to cover the full gamut of commercial herd management. That information can be found in far more detail from industry-specific sources. Our objective here is to provide some basic assistance to farmers in deciding when and if they need the services of a veterinarian. For the most part the articles and fact sheets in this section deal with how to recognise the symptoms of possible diseases, and offer some advice on how to manage them.

Gone, but not forgotten

The Memorial Garden is our tribute to some special patients who have passed on. We hope you'll spend a few minutes there and keep them company for a while.
